MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND ICD-10 TRAINING DINNER
SAN MARCOS, TX – Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) Central Texas Provider Network (CTPN) and the Texas Medical Association (TMA) will soon present a dinner and meeting for physicians, medical office managers, coding/billing personnel and other medical office personnel covering ICD-10 implementation.
ICD-10 Now! How and Why will take place on June 24 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in San Marcos. The session will provide a detailed, real-world explanation of how to assess, plan for and implement the new code set that will go into effect in 2014 as a result of health care reform.
Those who attend will receive 3 hours of CME credit and an ICD-10 workbook. The class is free of charge for CTPN members and CTMC medical staff and costs $50 for non-members.

The hospital, which originated in 1923 as Hays County Soldiers, Sailors and Marines Memorial Hospital, was restructured in 1960. The present facility was opened at its current Wonder World Drive location in 1983.
